Code of Federal Regulations Title 47. Telecommunication § 47.95.3189 OBU technical standard

(a) DSRCS On–Board Unit (OBU) transmitter types operating in the 5895–5925 MHz band must be designed to comply with the technical standard Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11p–2010.

(b) 802.11p–2010, IEEE Standard for Information technology—Local and metropolitan area networks—Specific requirements—Part 11:  Wireless LAN Medium Access Control (MAC) and Physical Layer (PHY) Specifications Amendment 6:  Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments, 15 July 2010 is incorporated by reference into this section with the approval of the Director of the Federal Register under 5 U.S.C. 552(a) and 1 CFR part 51.
