(a) Where a design patent that was granted from an international design application is
invalidated in the United States, and the invalidation is no longer subject to any
review or appeal, the patentee shall inform the Office.
(b) After receiving a notification of invalidation under paragraph (a) of this section
or through other means, the Office will notify the International Bureau in accordance
with Hague Rule 20.
