California Code, Welfare and Institutions Code - WIC § 3305

The supervision, management and control of the California Rehabilitation Center and the responsibility for the care, custody, training, discipline, employment, and treatment of the persons confined in the center are vested in the Director of Corrections.  Part 3 (commencing with Section 1999) of the Penal Codeapplies to the institution as a prison under the jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections and to the persons confined in the institution insofar as those provisions may be applicable.
