California Code, Water Code - WAT § 20982

The change of name shall become effective for all purposes upon the recordation of the resolution after which the district shall perform all functions, exercise all powers, be responsible for its obligations and in all respects conduct its affairs under its name as changed with the same force and effect as under the name by which it was designated upon its formation.
