To assist the department and other state agencies in the enforcement of the provisions of Section 19501 of the Food and Agricultural Code, the Department of Food and Agriculture shall provide, through cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture in the enforcement of Public Law 85-765   1 and by means of appropriate regulations, suitable methods of identifying the carcasses of animals inspected and passed under Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 18651) of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Food and Agricultural Code that have been slaughtered by methods prescribed by Sections 19501, 19502, and 19503 of that code.
