California Code, Military and Veterans Code - MVC § 469

A person who has been separated from the military service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of a lawfully appointed court-martial for trial and punishment for offenses committed during his military service.

If such person is found guilty, he shall be punished according to the Articles of War   1 and the rules and regulations of the United States Army within the limits prescribed by this division and the Federal law for courts-martial of the National Guard.
