California Code, Government Code - GOV § 70050.8

Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 69948 and 69949, incounties with population ofat least 62,000 andunder 65,800, as determined by the 1960 federal census, thefee for official court reportersand court reporters pro tempore is seventy dollars ($70) per day unless the board of supervisors of the county shall, by resolution, provide for fees in excess of that amount, in which event the fee set by resolution shall apply.
