California Code, Fish and Game Code - FGC § 701.5

The director or one or more of his designees may accept the office of director or alternate director of an entity established by a joint powers agreement providing for the establishment and conduct of an areawide waste management planning process in accordance with the provisions of Section 208 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act.  1 Such office of director or alternate director of a joint powers entity is deemed compatible with the office of director and the office or employment of such persons as the director may so designate to serve such an entity established by a joint powers agreement.
