California Code, Financial Code - FIN § 18003.6

“Certificate of deposit” as that term is used by an industrial loan company licensed under this division means an investment certificate representing the obligation of an industrial loan company to repay a nondemand deposit as deposit is defined in Section 3(1) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.  1
