(a) On or before November 1, 2010, and at least biennially thereafter, the University of California is requested to, and the California State University shall, report on the utilization of classrooms and teaching laboratories. The report shall include for each campus in their respective system the total number of rooms, number of stations, weekly student contact hours, and weekly station hours. The report shall also include the average weekly hours of station use and actual utilization as a percentage of the utilization standard.
(b) On or before November 1, 2010, and at least biennially thereafter, the Office of the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges shall report on the utilization of classrooms and teaching laboratories. The report shall include, for each college, the total number of rooms, number of stations, weekly student contact hours, average weekly student contact hours per station, and actual utilization as a percentage of the utilization standard.
