(a) Notwithstanding Sections 49076, 49557.3, and 49558, and accompanying regulations, the State Department of Education and the State Department of Social Services may share data for the limited purpose of administering the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) food benefit program established pursuant to Public Law 116-127, 1 including, but not limited to, identifying eligible students and evaluating program outcomes.
(b) The authority provided by this section shall continue until the P-EBT program established pursuant to Public Law 116-127 has been terminated pursuant to federal law or federal approval to administer the program has expired.
