(a) No employee of a licensee performing the function of an alarm agent who responds to alarm systems shall be issued a firearms qualification card until proper certification by the instructor that the exercise of the power to arrest course has been taught and the employee's certification that the instruction was received has been delivered to the department.
(b) This section shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2023, and as of that date is repealed.
