to any provision of this chapter is guilty of a felony. Any person who violates any of the other provisions of this chapter is guilty of
a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) or
by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed one year, or by both such fine and
