It is unlawful for any person to engage in this state in the banking business as defined in § 6-201 or to make use of the word “bank” or any other words in a manner reasonably calculated to convey the impression that the person is engaged in the banking business in this state, unless the act is done by or on behalf of a person having authority under § 6-201.
