The election provided by § 48-2791 shall be held in the same manner as other elections are held under the provisions of this article. Notice of the election shall be given in the same manner as provided for giving notice of special elections for the issuance of bonds. The notice of election shall state the amount of the authorized bonded indebtedness of the district, the amount of the bonds remaining unsold, the amount proposed to be destroyed, the date on which the election is proposed to be held and the polling place or places as fixed by the board of directors. The ballots at the election shall contain the words, “for destroying bonds--yes,” and “for destroying bonds--no.”
