A. The department of economic security and the department of health services may conduct background checks pursuant to the requirements of the child care and development block grant act of 2014 (P.L. 113-186) that are not included in the fingerprint clearance card process established by § 41-1758.02 for:
1. Employees and volunteers of child care providers as defined in § 46-801.
2. All persons who are eighteen years of age or older and who work or reside in the home of a child care home provider as defined in § 46-801.
3. Child care personnel as defined in § 36-897.03.
4. Child care providers as defined in § 41-1967.01.
B. The department of economic security may enter into agreements with other government agencies to conduct the background checks required in subsection A of this section.
