A. There shall be an Arizona state parks board, which shall consist of seven members. The state land commissioner shall be a member and the remaining members, each of whom shall be a bona fide resident of the state, shall be appointed by the governor pursuant to § 38-211. The appointive members shall be selected because of their knowledge of and interest in outdoor activities, multiple use of lands, archaeology, natural resources and the value of the historical aspects of Arizona, and because of their interest in the conservation of natural resources. Not less than one of the appointive members shall be representative of the livestock industry, one appointive member shall be professionally engaged in general recreation work and one appointive member shall be professionally engaged in the tourism industry.
B. All appointments shall be for a term of six years and shall expire on the third Monday in January of the appropriate year.
