A. A person shall not sell a new motor vehicle, including a motorcycle or motor driven cycle, in this state unless it is equipped with a stop lamp and every stop lamp on the vehicle meets the requirements of § 28-939.
B. A person may not drive a vehicle on the highways unless it is equipped with a stop lamp and every stop lamp on the vehicle meets the requirements of § 28-939.
C. The first violation of subsection B of this section is not a civil traffic violation and may not result in a citation. A peace officer may issue a verbal or written warning or notice to repair to a person for the first violation of subsection B of this section.
