Arizona Revised Statutes Title 28. Transportation § 28-874. Additional parking rules

A. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a person who stops or parks a vehicle on a roadway where there are adjacent curbs shall stop or park the vehicle with its right-hand wheels parallel to and within eighteen inches of the right-hand curb.

With respect to highways under the director's jurisdiction, the director may place signs prohibiting or restricting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles on any highway where in the director's opinion the stopping, standing or parking is dangerous to those using the highway or where the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles would unduly interfere with the free movement of traffic on the highway. The signs shall be official signs, and a person shall not stop, stand or park a vehicle in violation of the restrictions stated on the signs.
