A. If the director finds that the licensee has not complied with or has knowingly violated this article or any rule adopted pursuant to this article or has been convicted of a violation of title 13 or this title, 1 the director may do either of the following:
1. Impose a civil penalty on the licensee of at least three hundred dollars but not more than three thousand dollars for each violation.
2. After conducting a hearing, cancel, suspend or revoke the license of the school.
B. Decisions of the director are subject to judicial review pursuant to title 12, chapter 7, article 6. 2
C. The director shall deposit, pursuant to §§ 35-146 and 35-147, all civil penalties collected pursuant to this section in the state highway fund established by § 28-6991.
