Arizona Revised Statutes Title 11. Counties § 11-457. Refusal to deliver property or papers to successor

If a former sheriff neglects or refuses to deliver to his successor the jail, process, documents and prisoners in his charge, as required by § 11-456, the successor may take possession of the jail, take custody of the prisoners therein confined, and may compel the delivery of the process and documents in the manner provided by law.
