(a) The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences may provide on-call duty compensation or standby duty differential compensation for a classified or nonclassified patient care employee whose job requires him or her to provide patient care when there is no regularly scheduled staff coverage.
(b) A classified or nonclassified patient care employee shall not exceed one hundred twenty-eight (128) hours during any seven-day period, at rates of pay not to exceed the pay provided in the Uniform Classification and Compensation Act, § 21-5-201 et seq., or its successor, or this subchapter, or the compensation set in the operative appropriation for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
