Arkansas Code Title 27. Transportation § 27-16-602. License requirement--Surrender of other licenses--Commercial license--Authority granted

(b)(1) No person shall receive a driver's license unless and until he or she surrenders to the Office of Driver Services all valid driver's licenses in his or her possession issued to him or her by any other jurisdiction.

(2) All surrendered licenses shall be returned by the Office of Driver Services to the issuing department together with information that the licensee is now licensed in the new jurisdiction.

(3) No person shall be permitted to have more than one (1) valid driver's license at any time.

(c)(1) No person shall drive a commercial motor vehicle as a commercial driver unless he or she holds a valid commercial driver's license.

(2) No person shall receive a commercial driver's license unless and until he or she surrenders to the Office of Driver Services any noncommercial driver's license issued to him or her or an affidavit that he or she does not possess a noncommercial driver's license.

(3) Any person holding a valid commercial driver's license under this chapter need not procure a noncommercial driver's license.
