Alaska Statutes Title 47. Welfare, Social Services, and Institutions § 47.55.080. Enforcement against estate

If a beneficiary under this chapter dies leaving an estate in the state, the attorney general or the Department of Family and Community Services shall file with the executor or administrator, or with the probate court, the claim of the state against the estate, and the attorney general shall take the steps necessary to enforce and collect the claim. Money collected shall be paid into the treasury of the state.
