Washington Revised Code Title 46. Motor Vehicles § 46.10.410. Registration--Exemptions

Registration is not required under this chapter for the following snowmobiles:
(1) Snowmobiles owned and operated by the United States, another state, or a political subdivision thereof.
(2) A snowmobile owned by a resident of another state or Canadian province if that snowmobile is registered under the laws of the state or province in which its owner resides. This exemption applies only to the extent that a similar exemption or privilege is granted under the laws of that state or province. Any snowmobile that is validly registered in another state or province and that is physically located in this state for a period of more than fifteen consecutive days is subject to registration under this chapter.
