The Legislature declared that the purpose of this act 1 is to safeguard the public against the creation or perpetuation of monopolies and
to foster and encourage competition, by prohibiting unfair and discriminatory practices
by which fair and honest competition is destroyed or prevented. This act shall be liberally construed that its beneficial purposes may be subserved.
Laws 1937, c. 21, enacted the Unfair Practices Act comprising this chapter.
