Municipal territory may be disannexed from the district under this subchapter on petition for an election on disannexation and a vote in favor of the disannexation by the majority of voters voting at an election ordered for that purpose. (Acts 51st Leg., R.S., Ch. 398, Sec. 4A(a) (part).)
