Pennsylvania Statutes Title 36 P.S. Highways and Bridges § 1015. Route 44. From Gettysburg to Maryland state line

Commencing in Gettysburg, and running by way of Fairfield, by spur from the intersection of the Fairfield road with the Waynesboro, Greencastle and Mercersburg turnpike road, over said turnpike road, now free of tolls southeastwardly to the Maryland State line and Fountaindale, to a point on the dividing line between Adams and Franklin Counties; thence by way of Charmion and Waynesboro to the Maryland State line.
