The Department of Public Instruction 1 shall designate a week during each year and prescribe a uniform course of exercises to be carried out during that week in the public schools to instill into the minds of the pupils thereof the purpose, 2 meaning and importance of that portion of the Constitutions 3 of the United States and of this Commonwealth known as the “Bill of Rights”. Such exercises shall be in addition to the prescribed courses of study in such schools.
