(a) Any county may use for the purpose of any airport any land within the county and owned by the county when the county commissioners determine such land necessary for such purposes.
(b) Any county may appropriate for the purposes of any airport, any lands purchased by it at any tax sale and not redeemed within the period of redemption, if any, provided by law.
(c) Any county may acquire by gift, lease, purchase or condemnation proceedings, any land lying within its territorial limits or the territorial limits of any adjoining county which, in the judgment of the county commissioners, may be necessary and desirable for the purpose of establishing and maintaining airports or of enlarging them, but no such land shall be so acquired in any adjoining county without the assent of the county commissioners thereof.
