(1) Subject to the approval of the department of administration, the department may purchase such equipment, supplies, and real property as it may deem necessary and proper. The title to any real property purchased shall be taken in the name of the state of Montana.
(2) Subject to the approval of the department of administration, the department may sell any equipment, supplies, or real property previously acquired by it, and the proceeds of such sale shall be deposited into the unemployment insurance administration fund.
(3) In the event the duties or any part thereof of the department shall be at any time in the future surrendered to or taken over by the federal government or any agency thereof, the department, with the approval of the department of administration, may lease such equipment and real property to the federal government or such agency, but the title thereto shall remain in the state of Montana.
