The board of trustees of the Montana historical society is hereby authorized and directed to set apart a suitable room in the buildings under their jurisdiction for the storing and safekeeping of such archives, records, etc., of the grand army of the republic and the united Spanish war veterans, and said room shall be suitably furnished, and the librarian for the Montana historical society shall be custodian of said archives, records, etc.
