Members of the Missouri emergency response commission and members of local emergency planning committees appointed by the commission shall not be liable for damages incurred as a result of actions taken by them when acting in their capacities pursuant to sections 292.600 to 292.625, or the federal act. This protection from liability shall not apply for acts or omissions which result from intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence.
