Missouri Revised Statutes Title VI. County, Township and Political Subdivision Government § 50.510. Books and fees to be turned over to successor

It shall be the duty of the sheriff, marshal, coroner, all clerks of courts of record, and other officers, to turn over all books and fees charged therein, and not paid out to the lawful owner or his authorized agent or the county treasurer, to his successor in office, and take duplicate receipts therefor, one of which shall be filed with the clerk of the county commission.
