Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 380. School Code of 1976 § 380.1621a

Sec. 1621a.  A school district or intermediate school district has the power of eminent domain for acquiring title in fee or interest in sites for new schools, agricultural sites, athletic fields, parks, playgrounds, or other school facilities, or for the improvement or expansion of existing school facilities, and shall exercise that power according to the uniform condemnation procedures act, Act No. 87 of the Public Acts of 1980, being sections 213.51 to 213.77 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.
