K.S.A. 50-654 through 50-658, inclusive, shall apply to all persons in the business of leasing rental motor vehicles for a period of 60 days or less from locations in this state under an agreement which imposes upon the lessee an obligation to pay for any damages caused to the leased vehicle. The provisions of K.S.A. 50-654 through 50-658, inclusive, apply solely to the collision damage waiver portion of the rental agreement.
