Indiana Code Title 9. Motor Vehicles § 9-13-2-23

Sec. 23 . “Child restraint system” means a device that:

(1) is manufactured for the purpose of protecting children from injury during a motor vehicle accident;  and

(2) meets the standards prescribed and definition contained in 49 CFR 571.213 .
