Idaho Statutes Title 41. Insurance § 41-4201. Purpose

The purpose of this act shall be to provide reasonable standardization and simplification of terms and coverages of individual disability insurance policies, group supplemental disability insurance policies, nongroup subscriber contracts of nonprofit hospitals, medical and dental service associations, and nongroup subscriber contracts of managed care organizations to facilitate public understanding and comparison, to eliminate provisions contained in individual disability insurance policies, group supplemental disability insurance policies, nongroup subscriber contracts of nonprofit hospital, medical and dental service associations, and nongroup subscriber contracts of managed care organizations which may be misleading or unreasonably confusing in connection either with the purchase of such coverages or with the settlement of claims, and to provide for full disclosure in the sale of disability coverages.
