California Code, Labor Code - LAB § 3073.7

(a) The Division of Apprenticeship Standards may cooperate in the provision of, or provide, services to the Employment Development Department, and to service delivery areas, as designated pursuant to the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (Public Law 113-128), 1 and Division 7 (commencing with Section 14000) of the Unemployment Insurance Code. The Division of Apprenticeship Standards may enter into any agreements as may be necessary for this purpose.
(b) The Division of Apprenticeship Standards shall exert maximum effort to persuade sponsors of its registered, nonfederally funded, voluntary apprenticeship and on-the-job training programs to accept to the maximum possible extent the eligible persons as described in the federal Workforce and Opportunity Act (Public Law 113-128), and Division 7 (commencing with Section 14000) of the Unemployment Insurance Code.
