(a) The Arkansas Business Corporation Act of 1987, § 4-27-101 et seq., shall be applicable to such professional corporations, including their organization, and they shall enjoy the powers and privileges and be subject to the duties, restrictions, and liabilities of other corporations except so far as they may be limited or enlarged by this subchapter.
(b) If any provision of this subchapter conflicts with the Arkansas Business Corporation Act of 1987, § 4-27-101 et seq., this subchapter shall take precedence.
(c) If any person incorporating under the Arkansas Professional Corporation Act, § 4-29-201 et seq., the Medical Corporation Act, § 4-29-301 et seq., or the Dental Corporation Act, § 4-29-401 et seq., needs to convert to a business corporation as governed by the Arkansas Business Corporation Act of 1987, § 4-27-101 et seq., that professional association may do so by filing an amendment in accordance with § 4-27-1006, provided that the relevant licensing agency allows.
