(a) The Chair of the Mobile County Board of Equalization shall receive an additional expense allowance of two thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($2,250) per year and the members of the board shall each receive an additional expense allowance of two thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($2,250) per year. The expense allowance shall be given to cover expenses incurred by them in and about the performance of their duties as such officers. These allowances shall be in addition to any salary or allowance now allowed to them by law, and shall be paid to them monthly from the general funds of the county.
(b) The Chair of the Mobile County Board of Equalization shall receive an additional expense allowance of three thousand six hundred dollars ($3,600) per year and the members of the board shall each receive an additional expense allowance of three thousand six hundred dollars ($3,600) per year. The expense allowances shall be given to cover expenses incurred by them in and about the performance of their duties as such officers. These allowances shall be in addition to any compensation or allowances now allowed to them by law, and shall be paid to them monthly from the general funds of the county.
